Purden Lake Resort Restaurant

I found a wasp in my coffee and was not given a replacement. The service at our table was lacking, and the food was overpriced. The soup was flavorless and the cleanliness of the restaurant was questionable, with a spruce lying on the floor near the kitchen. It makes me wonder about the hygiene standards in the kitchen and what else could potentially be in the food.

Check-in took a long time, although we had a reservation, our campsite had the power and channel on the wrong side, so we had to change it quickly! Luckily there was a campsite that had hooks on the right side. The...camping was very dirty because it didn't really have much gravel exposed dirt. There was no privacy, barely trees and campsites were very close together. There was a third price beach within easy walking distance that my children enjoyed playing in the sand and paddle to explore in their dingy, the water seemed clean and there was an ok dock to go up and explore. We wanted to spend a few nights here, but because of the bad conditions we only stayed one night and could not wait to go. I forgot to mention the big dogs on my hand.

The staff at this restaurant are very friendly and welcoming. However, the camping facilities, including the washing area, restrooms, and showers, are in desperate need of renovation. Some of the campsites have electrical and water hookups on the incorrect side. The TV connection was also not working. We did not have a chance to try the restaurant during our stay.

Very beautiful place! Unfortunately, bookings can only be made by email, which can be very confusing. We wanted 30 amperes, water and canal so that I checked the boxes on their shape and each box, thinking that they would recommend any page that included... all my requirements. We booked three nights and I also noticed in their form that we traveled with our dog. We met with our daughter family and wanted to be next to their unity, but wanted a place that wasn't really close to others. Some pages were recommended, so we chose two that looked decent in the pictures. At check-in, our dog wasn't on the form the lady gave me. Oh, well, we went to the place we had booked, beautiful view of the lake. The people next to us had parked their vehicles in our website, but moved when we came there. We have mapped our followers into the site and started. There was a picnic table on our side, then about a ten foot descent to the beach area. The photo looked really nicer than the real spot. Going behind our trailer to put blocks down, the loose dog cracked from the next side to me. I started thinking this wouldn't work with our dog. It seemed like there were a lot of people who settled permanently in the resort. Our daughter and son-in-law arrived and we decided to join the group with other family members because we were not satisfied with our pages. The fall behind our sides was too treacherous for our toddler grandson. We went to Purden Lake Resort Restaurant to discuss our problems. We were told that they did not pay any refunds and that we would have paid more attention to the booking process. On her map it looked like we were pretty close to the lake with a grass area between us and the lake, not a ten foot descent. The lady at the restaurant finally admitted and said she could give one of us a refund.

We happened upon this resturant and decided to stop for brunch. What a find. The decor was awesome! The service was not the best. We wondered who was supposed to do what? The food was excellent. It was raining so we didn't get to enjoy...the surroundings outside. We are so glad we stopped! Also loved the bathroom faucets that were molded after a cistern pump.
