Bidra med feedback1. We arrived at 1.30 (table booked for 1.45). A lady member of staff came and asked us why we were there and obviously told her for Sunday lunch. She then walked away from us and left us standing in the hallway. 2. A young man came to our rescue and took us to the dining room to our table. We ordered a half bottle of sauvingnon blanc, which he brought to us and just placed it on the table (he did not open it and pour some for one of us to taste, neither was it in an ice bucket to keep cold). 3. We both ordered the salmon mousse with sea vegetables. It arrived but there was not a single sea vegetable in sight only apples and a few bits of micro herbs. I have a stomach condition and cannot eat apples!!!! The roast beef was very nice but there was no seasonal vegetables only roast carrot, parsnip and a small portion of kale with three large roast potatoes and a huge yorkshire pudding served on the plate. 4. We were not offered tea or coffee after our meal. 5. The Ladies toilets were not very good at all with empty toilet rolls and bits of toilet paper on the floor and the paper towel bin was overflowing with used towels on the floor.
We arrived at Llangoed Hall for Sunday lunch and were greeted by General Manager Simon Pinney who was very polite and attentive as we waited for our table. The beef lunch was delicious as was the apple crumble dessert. Excellent value for money with superb service to match. Our waitresses, Camilla and Jenny were efficient and well mannered. All in all, a lovely lunch in a wonderful setting.
I enjoyed a superb evening meal with my partner. It's food to take your time over enjoy in the relaxed surroundings. there was also a good selection of wines to choose from. Whilst we were staying we had pre meal drinks next to a large open fire that was so atmospheric.
Hi everyone, my wife and I have 12 years experience at Llangoed hall, this time however, was Unfortunately not the same. Waiting for staff to attend, one being rude, and food issues. Namely the beef. There used to be a Scottish gentleman at the hall [named Colin who was perfect for the establishment...! However, there may be hope!! By the name of Kyron . I would like to start by saying what a wonderful young man he is, he was attentive, knowledgeable, well spoken and observant. I say give him the run of the establishment. Well done [M James Bond. Adi.
Definitely not going back. Main course was not hot. Roast beef was too tough to cut with an ordinary knife, and difficult even with a steak knife. Yorkshire pudding was undercooked and stodgy. Honeycomb part of dessert was too hard to break into bite-sized pieces. To be fair, we were given a generous discount after we complained.
