Spice Merchants - Portsmouth

Ordered a delivery of the spice merchants and it was such a great experience. I called on a Friday night to ask for a delivery in the next night and the guy was so nice on the phone. I have suggested sending the order for 8... people to them by email and then calling at night to make a payment. as soon as I sent the email, they confirmed the reception and the delivery time to an address in southsea would not be a problem at all. on Saturday I was about to pay, and they called me. they wanted to double check the order, delivery address and time of the clock. such a great service. the food came bang on time all piping hot and tasty! I chose the spice merchants. (some friends had done the same before a few weeks and recommended them.) great job boys!

On Saturday evening in this brilliant restaurant. great service. great environment, one of the most beautiful curries I've ever had! the fried Pila rice was amazing. very recommended place to eat.

Everything about this restaurant was good. service was excellent and we have some of the home specialties, including a venison curry and a green hunch massala. both were very different and absolutely delicious. the place was very busy and it is obvious why. Sheer class. I wish it was with us. in cheshire, because the local curry houses are terrible and eating as subtle as a hit in the teeth.

Very friendly and friendly staff. the peshawari naan and huh tikka masala were really excellent. we had a great time.

Fourteen of us gathered here on a Monday evening and were royally looked after by the team. For many of us it was our first visit and it was an excellent choice by Andrew who had organised our team meal. The service from the moment...we arrived until we squared up and departed was superb; attentive staff who not only ensured our drinks were always refreshed, they also remembered who had ordered what and were happy to make recommendations regarding dishes, sides etc. The food was amazing and I didn 't hear one complaint from any of the team in fact, the opposite. All of the staff who looked after us were brilliant but I 'd particularly like to mark out Rufus and Ripon who were particularly helpful at the end on sorting our the faffing with individual bills and supplying 'take away containers ' for those amongst us who could not finish their meal but wanted a further chance to savour the fabulous fare. Highly recommended and easiest 'five stars ' I 've ever given. Thanks Spice Merchants Team, we 'll be back.
