The Friendly Toast - Portsmouth

I cannot say enough about this place! The food was AMAZING! There is a huge variety of food and drinks. We had the breakfast egg rolls, chicken and waffles and mimosas. Our server was great and the atmosphere is must see! Weekends and in season visits will most likely be busy.

I found the best brunch spot! The food, service, and atmosphere are everything! I had the Irish Benny.....amazing, the chef nailed the poached eggs! The Some Like It Tot and the Peach Perfect are both absolutely worth it! Go, you won 't be disappointed. (REVISED....this review is supposed to be for the Portland, Maine location!

Not just a restaurant, a whole experience! Incredible atmosphere, art work, staff, food and drinks!

Back in the 90’s and early 2000’s this was my absolute favorite restaurant. They were early caterers to the vegetarian/vegan scene with plenty for all my carnivore friends and family. The vibe was and still is cool-but is now a bit more “Cracker Barrel” corporate. Since they opened so many locations some of the charm has faded but the menu changes are what makes me so sad. They used to have the BEST house made veggie burger and falafel and now they have disgusting packaged chemical laden beyond meat instead. I won’t eat here anymore and it’s so sad. I’m officially retiring my fuzzy vintage 90’s friendly toast t-shirt.

More of a hipster vibe. Food has flare. Very busy, will have to wait for a table!
