Bidra med feedbackTram is located near the river Douro. We ordered the seafood soup which was delicious. Then we ordered the octopus which was cooked in the oven. This octopus is one of the best I have ever tasted, the octopus just melted in my mouth. This was unexpected as the restaurant was concentrating on serving pizzas, however I think they should concentrate on serving more seafood as they did a Fantastic job on the octopus.
So many restaurant start their lunch service at 12:00 or 12:30, we tried to research but were stuck with only regular options. We wanted an early lunch. We reached Tram and took a look at the menu. There were already guests sitting at the terrace tables. We were worried it might not meet our usual standards, we had so fallen in love with Porto cuisine....our final meal before the flight home. We asked for an inside table. We were the only guests inside, but preferred to avoid the wind and noise of the passing traffic. Our waitress was a young blonde lady with the name of Catarina or Carolina...? She kept apologising for her English, but it was fine. I told her so. Anyways, I speak Portuguese. We ordered a Vinho Verde, a fish soup to share, squid and octopus for mains. And it was good! I would suggest you need to make a connection with the staff, so they know that you need their good service. The big negative was the long flights of steps to reach the rest rooms.
1 out of 5 sadly expensive for what you get my fish soup was over priced and there was little fish to be had plus the staff don't give a dam about the poor quality food dont waste your money at Tram
