Satellite Tavern - Portland

I got bitten by a dog as I walked past a table. It was busy and the staff were overworked. The bar was crowded (NBA playoff game) and there were long lines. Great place to grab a beer for a low stakes game, but pretty bad for big sporting events, they can't handle the crowds despite ample seating and tvs.Kid-friendliness: There was an aggressive dog that bit me on their patio. Staff didn't believe me and unless another patron would back me up, refused to ask the dog to leave, even after seeing a bite wound on my leg.

Great outdoor space. Perfect patio with 8 TVs. They also turn the sound on for big games. BUT they need to hire more staff. We had 1 server taking orders for all 80 people sitting outside during the NBA Finals. And it looked like the kitchen was running food to tables. They are going to burn these poor people out. The owner needs to hire more people!

Came in here a couple weeks ago after we arrived in town. The bartender was a young girl, i didn't catch her name, but she was really nice and made us feel very welcome. We had a couple questions and she was really helpful with everything.

I had a really good time, the food was good and the band was terrific.
