Bidra med feedbackWe just returned from the Grill. For a Saturday it was pretty empty but we had our own room. 13 of us. A check for over 500. The waitress was good. Our two...
Food- skip it. Really. Don't. I got the vegetarian burger- zero taste. Soggy buns from the get-go, probably from the grilled portabella mushroom. The...
Wish I could give this place less stars. Wouldn't let us in because my boyfriend has ONE rip in his jeans. I've been down here a bunch of times and never...
As a student from Long Island, I often spent Thursday nights in Port with my friends. The Harbor Grill wasn't our top choice, but we would visit occasionally. I was fortunate enough to not face discrimination based on my religion, unlike some others. As an African American, I understand the feeling of being marginalized and will not support a place that discriminates in any way. The food and drinks at Harbor Grill are average, but that doesn't matter anymore. They have tarnished their reputation by denying entrance to individuals based on their religion, casting a shadow over Port Jeff. As a resident of Long Island, I am ashamed of their actions. Justifying discrimination based on safety concerns is ignorant and unacceptable. No amount of PR or excuses will win back my business or that of many others.
We had a reservation for dinner at a specific time. Our server was incredibly slow and inattentive. We had to ask twice for bread and our appetizer plates sat on the table until we requested them to be taken away. The lack of railings on the front stairs and poor signage for the handicapped entrance made it difficult to navigate. I had to call for directions in the rain to locate it.
