Bidra med feedbackWho knew I'd like boats this much? I'm not a Boat Person, but when I moved down to Tassie I got involved in as many festivals as I could get my hands on.
This place is unique. Everything made on the premises, great pies, real home made sausage rolls, egg and bacon rolls and sandwiches, good coffee and it's all overseen by Ros and her great team of helpers. The clientele ranges from locals who call it their own to tourists enjoying the lights of the far south. This time of the year it's warm and cosy, simply put a great place to relax and enjoy good food while touring or working.Last time I was there Ros proudly told me she had just filled a large order for her pies to be sent to Singapore so maybe we locals will have to move over as the fame spreads.
The locals know this cafe as the BEST PIES in the Huon Valley and now the tourists know because they are Mecca. Still working my way through the pie list.........heaven wrapped in pastry.
This cafe is one of our favourites and provides very reasonably priced tasty food. The salmon sausage rolls are divine. My kids think the chips are the best in Tasmania, probably Australia too.
Roz Brett and staff are always welcoming. Pies are made on site along with loads of other delicious food. Not your standard meat pie - so many too choose from. Home made cakes and slices change weekly.
