Dairy Queen - Port Hawkesbury

Every time I have visited this restaurant, I have had to wait at least 30 minutes in the drive-thru and inside the restaurant. I saw them microwave my burger before giving it to me. The staff is very rude and they make fun of customers behind their backs.

I walked into the restaurant and found it to be quite dull with minimal decorations. After placing my order, it took 30 minutes for my burger to be served, which was disappointingly cold. The lighting improved after a few minutes and I appreciated the natural light coming in through the large window. I was surprised at the lack of reservations considering the slow service. The food was decent when served warm, but often arrived cold due to the long wait times. They claim to have "fan food" but in reality, it never came out hot, only lukewarm. It seems they have a routine of serving cold dishes, such as a burger with cold gravy that doesn't even melt the cheese. Despite the slow service and lackluster food, I found myself returning for a quick bite, although I was always left waiting for my meal. It's a shame that even the simplest dishes are served cold after such a long wait.

Do you think ordering a Blizzard here is easy? Think again. The staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful when asked about the chocolate ice cream being used for a particular order. They refused to mix ice creams, even though no such policy was communicated beforehand. Despite the lackluster service, my daughter had to wait a considerable amount of time for her order, with no acknowledgment or thanks for her patience. This Dairy Queen is by far the slowest and unfriendliest I have ever been to. My experience was consistent with a visit I had over a year ago, prompting me to finally leave a review. Unfortunately, I cannot find anything positive to say about this place.

Like any other dq. eating is good, the staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean and welcoming. not complaining.

Even though this was a small town DQ, I was able to ask for and receive a dessert that was no longer on the menu. Peanut Buster Parfaits have been on the menu for a number of years now, but the fruit parfait disappeared. When...I asked if they could make it, the youngest staff member was the only one who knew how to make it. Thanks folks well done!
