Harvey's - Port Elgin

Haven't had Swiss Chalet since summer 2019. It was always a family favourite. Had occasion to pick up take out on Saturday for 2. I was sooo disappointed with their quarter chicken dinner (dark meat. I'm sure if I would have weighed the deboned chicken there was barely 4oz of meat. There was a ton of fries, a small roll and their dipping sauce. This leg had to come from a bird that was barely 2lbs before cooking. We used to always laugh at how quickly we would devour the delicious crispy skin first before dunking that first bite of meat in the dipping sauce. This time we found the skin to be quite bland...like someone forgot to add salt to the birds/basting sauce?! Needless to say we certainly didn't feel we got value for the approx $13 we spent on each meal. We were hungry a couple of hours later. No more Swiss Chalet for us...but the various Harvey's hamburgers combos...we love those and we felt full after eating those and also felt we got value for the money we spent.

Staff at this Harvey's location take care to make great quality food served to perfection that always tastes good. Closed on Sunday and Mondays :

Very good burger, fries, and onion rings. Service was very quick.
