Bidra med feedbackDuring the summer, we visited the restaurant with friends for a special occasion. No matter what you choose to order, the food never fails to impress with its amazing taste.
We have a delightful couple here visiting from Italy and took them with several others out to Lucy's for dinner. Not only was Lucy delighted to meet them, she made us a wonderful meal and brought us a complementary tray of zucchini flowers - a semi deep fried treat - I have never had them before. As is the case with Lucy's the meal and service was over the top. I also brought home a tray of seafood lasagna for later.
Eating at Lucy's is akin to being welcomed into her home. The cozy dining area only has a few tables, so it is advisable to call ahead and make a reservation. The cuisine is homemade and delightful. I particularly enjoy her lasagna, made with delicate noodles and a tasty red sauce, while my husband always opts for the linguine primavera. We have always been satisfied with the food's quality, although I have observed that the portion size of the lasagna can sometimes be a bit small. Each main course includes a salad and bread as a starter. It is worth giving it a shot!
Worst meal ever, anywhere. Lucy's used to be a delightful, quirky little place with delicious homemade Italian fare. On the evening we were there, even walking in the door, we were tempted to leave before we even sat down because of the strong odour of cigarettes. There was a very yappy dog barking throughout the whole meal. Two very young cooks were in the kitchen, and didn't even know if they could bring bread with no butter in the bread basket. Caesar salad was thick with bright yellow dressing and all four of our dinners were lukewarm and very unappetizing to look at. We all left most of our meals untouched, and should have shared our concerns, but the young cooks were not the ones we wished to speak to. Veal marsala was literally swimming in water. Maybe defrosted? The veal parmesan was so hard and tough, it was inedible. Will never return, and were embarrassed that we took two out of town guests with us.
Visited at the end of August with our entire family. We sat in the back Giardino to enjoy our meals. Felt like we were in Italy. As always, Lucy was a great host, and cooked a fine meal for us all to enjoy. It is always worth the trip to Lucy's
