Racetrac - Port Charlotte

Great establishment that's always bustling with activity. The staff can occasionally come off as indifferent, but given how busy they are, it's understandable. Gas prices here are generally lower than average.

This RaceTrac, located by the interstate, is quite typical of the chain. It's busy and a bit pricey, but it offers a standard experience.

The empanadas were tasty, but my experience was overshadowed by the rudeness of the cashier working at 11:30 am on Sunday. She didn't greet me or say goodbye, and even when I spoke to her, she completely ignored me. Additionally, the prep lady making the empanadas was coughing excessively. If she was that unwell, I wondered why she had come to work at all.

The restroom was in poor condition, and the store looked like it had been heavily used and was quite disorganized. It could have just been an off day for them, but I would definitely think twice before coming back and might choose another location instead.

I made a quick stop here to use the restroom, get some cold water, and grab a squeegee. Everything was functioning properly. While the bathroom could use some cleaning, it was reasonably acceptable for a gas station restroom. There’s a wide selection of beverages available, including frozen slushies, fountain sodas, bottled drinks, cans, and even cold beer. I didn’t get any beer since I was driving, but it’s definitely available if you want it. The pump area was tidy, and the trash cans were in decent condition. The squeegee worked well, and now my view of the road is clear of dead bugs.
