Cody's Original Roadhouse Port Charlotte

It was there at 5:00 and it wasn't full yet. I'll be right in there. There was no waiting time. And our server was available as soon as we set ourselves. Ordered the early bird special, which was Sirloin with baked potato. Cooked as I ordered. It came out quickly. Their roles were hot and soft and simply delicious. Our server was very attentive and it started to do a little. We sat inside, although they also have outdoor seating. It was a good experience.

We had some problems with our order but the service was friendly fast and great. I guess they were not able to cook the main rib properly, so they had to take it out of the menu for the evening, but I look forward to trying it as soon as they fully train their new cook. Our server Norma was very attentive fun and friendly. Very recommended to try if you are shopping or if you just want a really good steak dinner. The only real complaint I had was that my medium Steak was very rare, but I'm not picky and it was still delicious.

My husband and I ate here yesterday for the first time, even though we live right down the street. Boy have we been missing out! First, our waitress was phenomenal! Her name was Crystal and she did a great job, so attentive and kept coming back to see if we needed anything. We had the salad that was to die for! Absolutely delicious and we had a second bowl lol. I ordered the chicken pot pie which I thought was probably the best I’ve ever had. My husband ordered the chicken fried chicken that he thought was really good. The prices were very reasonable, we will be back, OFTEN!

This place has changed for the better! Went here awhile back and it was terrible. Happen to have limited time and everywhere else was an hour wait. So we went to Cody's. Had a spectacular server and the food was fabulous. Noticed a change in the hussle. Much cleaner. Food was much better too.. We went back a week later to celebrate some birthdays and they were so accommodating. The food was still great the 2nd time. Desserts were amazing.They came out to sing to the birthday guys.

It was empty when we got there which led me to think it was going to be bad. But...the burgers were delicious! It was a good size, cooked perfectly, and the fries were hearty, not the show string type fries. The only negative was the service. The waiter was very friendly, but the only time she came back to the table was to bring our food and the check. she never brought drink refills even though we asked, and she never checked on us after we got our food to see if it was okay or if we needed anything. I mean, the place was empty! So we know she wasn't busy. But all in all, it was good food and the price was right. 2 burgers and a coke was $27 bucks!
