Il Maestrale - PONTINIA

Unfortunately this place is only opened for dinner. We would have loved to have their great pizza for lunch as well. Pizzas are very tasty in Roman style. Had a great pasta with mussels and clams, one of the better I've ever had. Service is good and the owner is very friendly. Traffic is close, but not to busy in the evenings. Acceptable price level for quality. Will revisit next time in Ponza.

Il Maestrale is walking distance from our hotel and packed every night. The owner Mauricio is awesome, very helpful and speaks English. We had pizza and spaghetti with clams and both very very reasonably priced and delicious!

Enjoyed our evening there, and ordered pizzas. Really liked my pizza marinara. Total for family of 4 was 41 Euros, including bottle of red wine and eggplant appetizer. Owner was very nice and recommended for a change of pace.

Also this year could not miss an evening in this place that always makes you feel like home; pizza is great as well as the rest. A guarantee. Gabriella

We stayed in this restaurant in Le Forna with friends. Limited menu (small dishes) but of excellent quality! Almost all covers are outdoors along the road, but being little frequented by cars this is not a problem, indeed! Prices in line with those of the island but our dishes (both pizza and spaghetti with clams and fried) were very good. The service is not very fast, but they are very courteous and kind. I recommend it, go without fear of taking tricks!
