Just a fantastic experience, fantastic food and such a friendly ambience! The restaurant, about 20 years in continuous operation, is just a few steps from the Marginal (the coastal area along the central Avenida Infante Dom Henrique); it took us about two minutes walk from our Grand Hotel Açores Atlântico. To say the menu is extensive is a serious understatement. It is simply endless with various appetizers, tons of fish and meat dishes as well as delicious desserts. The prices are very budget-friendly, the portion sizes are huge. The owner, Jôao Chaves, is not only an excellent restorer and a great guy, but also a very talented photographer. You can even purchase the prints of his pictures displayed on the walls, both as hard copies and as digital sequences. Everything and everything, we cannot recommend Sâo Pedro very much. Simply put, just a jewel of a restaurant.

Absolutely amazing food and the service was the best we had on the island . A definite must when visiting ponta delgada. My abrotea with orange sauce and bananas was one of the best meals I ever had and the lapas were to die for
