Sopaipilla Factory - Pojoaque

Visiting from Colorado and would totally take a road trip for this place. It rocks! Great food. Great service. Unbelievable value. THE best dini g experience I've had anywhere in years

The food here is good, but not great. The first visit I ordered my favorite, carne asada. What I got was steak fajitas with carne asada seasoning. Good, but not what I wanted. The second visit, I had a breakfast burrito for dinner. The green and red sauces were both great, but the burrito itself was BLAND. The sopaipillas that are the namesake of the restaurant are good, but not great. Greasy, thin walled. I'll come again, but don't have expectations of greatness any longer.

Place was packed with a line of people waiting for a table. Got take out, service was friendly. Wait was 20 min. or less. One dish of order was incorrect, ordered chicken enchiladas and got cheese ones. Had the 6 ½ Ounce Sirloin Steak Tampiquena Style medium rare was cooked correctly, beans were good, enchilada with red chili was good. Corn cake was good. Also tried a sopapilla, was good.

We took a party of 30 last night to celebrate my dad's birthday. I called them a few days ahead of time and they had everything ready for us. Food was delicious! And the service was great! I didn't catch our servers name, but he was on the ball! Thank you for such wonderful service. FYI, my dad hates restaurants but he really enjoyed this one.

Keep in mind this review is for at the price point Good Pina Colada, though oddly I wasn't asked to show my ID (and I definitely should have been) Waitress was very friendly, and the shrimp mango salad was as expected (canned mango and beets, but worked well with the dressing it came with on the menu, otherwise canned beets would be awful for the price point) Shrimp was seasoned very well, and my mother's shrimp cocktail was excellent and a larger than expected serving for the low price. Would definitely recommend this place, as it is well known locally for good New Mexican Food for a good price, especially in this economy (2022 2023)
