Bidra med feedbackWow! I am going to be in a food coma after this meal. We tried the breakfast poutine and it was amazing! We will definitely be returning. The service was excellent. We came back a second time to try the chicken and waffles, and they were just as delicious! The portions were huge and everything was incredibly tasty.
Cozy, clean, old-school diner with nice music and vibes. The food and service were very good. Atmosphere is spot on. I used to go here with my mom ~20 years ago (different owners at the time) and it holds a special place in my heart. A few small complaints:1. The coffee was good but wasn't included with my breakfast meal and I wasn't notified in advance. This runs up the bill unexpectedly and is slightly irritating since coffee is included at 99% of breakfast joints. At least notify the customer in advance... somehow. 2. I ordered a basic breakfast but there was no fruit on the plate whatsoever. They should have included an orange segment, tomato slice, or any other type of fruit to add a bit of color/brightness to the dish. ? ??Considering these two things I'm not sure I would return for breakfast unless they make adjustments to the standard 2 eggs and bacon plate as that's my go to breakfast meal. ?That being said, I will be going back one day soon to have lunch with my mom and take a trip down memory lane, also to try their lunchtime offerings as some of the dishes seemed quite nice! Overall good experience ?
The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the quality was top-notch. The prices were very reasonable.
Let's start by saying, if you enter a place, and the floor is sticky, you just knoe that the food is going to be slamming. And it was, that was honestly one of the tastier chicken I have eaten in Montreal.Despite having excellent food. The service is not quite there, slow and forgotten it feels like. The table spaces are tight and as someone who is 110 pound, I can barely fit the little provided space. With that said, it's reasonably cheap and very tasty. It's a place that you would go once a while to savour for not every week. Would recommend.
We were really hoping to enjoy this restaurant, as we were looking for a non-franchise option. I ordered the lumberjack breakfast and found a hair in my food about a quarter of the way through. I politely informed the waitress (without wanting to disturb the other customers) and asked for a new plate. I also noticed that the cook was not wearing a beard net. When it came time to pay, they did not charge me for my coffees and gave me a 10% discount on my meal. I was surprised by their lack of belief in my complaint and chose not to say anything to avoid upsetting my dining companion. Despite this, I still left a tip. I was very disappointed by the lack of trust in my word. By the way, I discreetly spat out the food containing the hair into a napkin.
