The Plym Fish - Plymouth

The service at this restaurant was absolutely beautiful and faultless. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. It was well worth the money, and we couldn't finish all the food because there was so much. I will definitely be coming back again in the future.

This was my first time ever having fish and chips at this restaurant, and it was awful. The fish was so dry, it seemed like it had been sitting out for ages and the large chips were mostly scraps.

I decided to try out this fish and chip shop because it is close to where I live. The place was clean and busy, which was a good sign. I ordered a portion of fish and chips. When I got home and opened it, I was incredibly disappointed at the size of the fish. It was very small and thin, with no depth to it at all. I felt like I had been ripped off, especially since it cost £12.50. It's time for certain establishments to improve their quality and stop overcharging their customers. I will not be returning to this place.

Today's lesson is a lesson in greed...... The buttermilk chicken was passable, well priced, large size. Would I have it again? No. The fish was suspiciously fishy tasting, a bit thin and sad looking and most definitely the greasiest batter I've ever had. By the time we got home it was marinating in its own pool of grubby yellow oil. Would I want it again? No. Should I have just waited and eaten my 2 quid Lewis Capaldi pizza that was in my freezer at home? Yes! Lesson learnt. Don't waste your money.

Great food including my favourite pea fritters which are difficult to find. Well done guys! Highly recommend for fish and chips in Plympton area.
