Chupi Chupi - Playa del Carmen

We were lucky enough to find this little gem late in the evening hours on our first night at our hotel next door. Maybe I ordered the wrong items from the menu because all of my good was fried. I'm sure they do great things and would be willing to go back

We tried this tonight for dinner, and everything was fresh, and delicious, and made with homemade noodles! We tried a little of everything between us, and it was all amazing! Lasagne, Gnocchi, Tagliatelle, Spaghetti, Seafood soup, Shrimp, and Bruchetta... Yum! And all with a view of the ocean from the front patio!

Amazing Dinner! Alessandro and his wife are the consummate hosts giving personal attention and serving amazing food. This definitely a hidden gem with a romantic flair just a few steps of of 5th but a great place to go away from the cacophony. We had the octopus appetizer, grilled veggies and fettuccine Trufo (truffle). Everything was delicious and on point. One thing to point out is that the pasta IS homemade- Au dente and perfecto. The next visit I would love to try the Carbonara! We mascarpone with berries for dessert and it was superb. Not too sweet and my husband inhaled it and he usually shies away from desserts. Try this place out! You won't be disappointed.

Visit this restaurant as it is just near the beach and outside Mahekal, great Italian food! Especially when you want a change from the Mexican cuisine this place offers beautiful dishes that can easily match the ones you get in Italy itself, actually it is run by an Italian couple.
