Bidra med feedbackI used to think negatively of Velvet Taco, but I've realized that they are actually quite impressive. This franchise is expanding quickly, and it's easy to understand why. With a diverse menu, rotating specials, late-night hours, and excellent margaritas, this restaurant really stands out. It's no wonder they are frequently opening new locations. I just hope they can maintain their quality as they grow.
I’ve had great experiences at this restaurant before, but my recent visit was quite disappointing. Out of the six tacos we ordered, four were incorrect. They used pancake tortillas instead of regular ones for the breakfast tacos, the bacon was soggy, and all the drinks were pre-made yet still charged at full price. The pork belly was too sweet, the salsa verde tasted more like chimichurri, and the bottled salsa was simply Cholula with some coloring added. I really hope they can make some improvements. It definitely didn’t feel worth the $60 for three people, especially with the automatic 15% tip added at the counter.
This is the top spot in the DFW area for a quick meal in just 30 minutes. They serve delicious tacos and margaritas, along with a great selection of draft beers and various other beverages. The guacamole is also exceptional. You can enjoy your meal and be in and out in under 30 minutes without feeling rushed. While the dining areas can be a bit sparse and noisy, it doesn't diminish the overall experience. However, prices are on the rise, and they may soon reach a level where better value can be found elsewhere. As for parking, please remember to stay within the lines—it's an easy task, and not doing so reflects poorly.
The food was excellent when it finally got here. My initial order was stolen by the driver, and had to be reordered.
Love this place, but there was a half a wishbone in my rotisserie chicken taco this evening. Few months ago there was a hair in the salmon one, and they were very kind about comping it. Okay. Lovely. But tonight I'm still feeling the pain in my front teeth. Ended up being 2 bones in all. Someone needs to oversee the prep team. Please.
