Main Street Bistro And Bakery - Plano

The service was not very good. We were seated immediately because it was a rainy day and the restaurant was very slow. First a waiter came by and gave us menus but then a waitress came by and took our order. From that point on we had to flag down the host to get us anything else we wanted including the bill and our change, which took so long we went and got our change and left. I have never been to a restaurant where the waiter didn't check on us once. The food was ok. I had the eggs benedict. The eggs were poached perfectly but the Canadian bacon was a very thin piece of ham. The Hollandaise was ok but I've had better. The hash browns were smashed and too crunchy. Not sure I'll go back since there are so many good breakfast places every where. I also tipped the customary 20% but it wasn't earned, honestly.

Ordered a chai latte and it tasted like hot milk. I never send things back but it was expensive so I asked instead for a cappuccino. Again, tasted like hot milk, like they forgot the espresso. Didn’t have the heart to send it back. The protein skillet was not as good as something you could whip up at home. Skillet potatoes tasted like they were out of a bag and heated up in the oven. The mushrooms tasted like rubbery canned mushrooms. The server was polite but seemed totally uninformed about the menu. While the option of eating outdoors was nice, the table was peeling and rusting and the chairs were uncomfortable. This was a $52 breakfast for 2–definitely won’t be back.
