The Coachman And Lounge - Plainfield

This was my first time eating here. The food was great and their fries are wonderful. Service was really great and the wait was short for a busy night.

The Coachman was highly recommended by the desk clerk at our hotel so we tried it. The salad bar was filled with favorites. Vegetable Beef soup was fantastic! We had the Smothered Chicken Dinner and Fish Chips for dinner and both were so good. We were very tempted by the dessert bar but refrained. All the staff we spoke with were very friendly and knowledgeable. Candy was our excellent server. We plan to return next time we're passing through!

I was in town on business and the hotel front desk told me to come here and explained that “everything on the menu is good”. I believe them now. This place is truly fantastic. The service was as good as it could possibly be. Very friendly, very knowledgeable and was happy to make suggestions. I took her advice and ordered fried mushy and prime rib. It was excellent and I wasn’t able to finish because they give a lot of food. I also ordered a **** Mary which was also excellent. I wish I lived closer to this place or traveled to Indiana more because I would definitely go out of my way to go here again. I understand this is family owned and that really shows. I love this place.

Outstanding food and our server was awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We'll be back! Try the French onion soup for a real treat. Prime rib was also on point. Zero complaints!

I was in town for the National FFA convention and expo and my family decided to go get supper there. The food was great all in general. The lady serving us was just a different vibe. She came to us like she knew us and started making jokes which made us feel welcomed. It was busy when we went and that’s not the restaurants fault at all. They handled the situation very well anyway. Great everything in this restaurant and I would recommend it.
