Flap Jack Pancake House - Plainfield

The service was fast and accurate. We ordered crepes, chocolate chip pancakes and Gyro Omelet (not shown), but it was great. I can't wait until my next Illinois visit. I will definitely eat again here.

My husband stumbled over this place. So glad he did it! Once we came to Flap Jacks of Oak Lawn, the host immediately greeted us with a warm welcome. Our waiter Courtney (Chucky costume was incredibly nice and was extremely patient while my father placed his order. The quality and experience we had today was definitely a bargain. This is by far one of the best places we have made for breakfast, we recommend to anyone who visits Chicago or just enjoy a delicious breakfast in the area.

I have driven by this place for years and never entertained the thought of trying it until recently. I was quite surprised to find a restaurant with decent portion sizes and flavorful food. I tried the meat lovers omelet. I found the omelet to be a decent size with ham, bacon and sausage that was well proportioned. I also had grits that were creamy and delicious along with two pancakes. I can't stress enough the portion size. I liked that there was enough food to satisfy me but not enough to make me go into a food comma. I will definitely be going back here again and trying different menu items. Kudos to Flapjacks.

Eating was okay. It didn't get me at all. I wanted to try something else because I always eat in the same places, especially when I know that the food is good. We ordered a vegetable omelett with fruit-hollandaise sauce on the side, eggs w/grits and sausage patty. The omelet was okay, not bad, but just okay. The pancakes were really good and fluffy. The eggs were okay, but the water was kind of watery. I don't think I'm going back.

Our go-to breakfast spot. Parking can be a pain depending on the day/time you go, however, even when the restaurant is at it's busiest, we are seated quickly and the service is fast. We're fast eaters and love how quick the food comes out and we get to be in and out, on with our day, in no time at all. The food is consistently good and the servers are always super nice. Great prices as well
