Pizza Shack - Pittsburgh

I recently ordered a takeout dinner from this restaurant and it was fantastic! The price per person was between $10-20, which I thought was very reasonable. The food was delicious, I would give it a 5 out of 5 rating. The service was also top-notch, another 5 out of 5. The atmosphere was just okay, I would rate it a 3. I would highly recommend trying their pepperoni pizza, it was a standout dish. One great thing about this place is that there is plenty of parking available, with free parking options in their parking lot.

I am no longer a loyal customer of this restaurant. Since the management change to younger individuals, the quality has significantly declined. The pizza I had tonight was the worst I have ever tasted. Not only were the toppings scarce, but the crust tasted stale as if it had been left out for too long. It was the first time I've experienced such poor quality pizza. The owners should be ashamed of the negative impact they've had on the business. Overall, I rated the takeout service, food, and atmosphere a 1 out of 5.

The pizza at this restaurant is truly amazing. However, we were surprised by how incredibly sweet the pizza sauce was - it tasted like there was sugar in it and resembled more of a jelly than sauce. Despite the sweetness, the crust and cheese were fantastic. I would definitely order it again just for the crust, which may be the best I've ever had in Pittsburgh. The only downside is that they only accept cash, but other than that, it was an awesome meal. Perfect for dinner.

Another issue was the toppings - if you order just one topping for $3, you only get one piece per slice. To get more toppings, you have to order double everything, except for pepperoni. This results in a dry pizza with not enough sauce unless you order double sauce as well. Our previous pizza from this place was dry with barely any sauce and only one topping per piece. This time, we decided to order double toppings and double everything, only to find out it was only half-baked. It seems like they don't know what they are doing or simply don't care. Two disappointing pizzas in a row that were not worth the high price. Perhaps the prices wouldn't be so steep if they were open more than three days a week. How do you accidentally undercook a pizza? It should be a simple task to keep track of. Also, the elderly man who took our order this time did not listen to our concerns or complaints. It's a shame that the quality and service at this restaurant are lacking.
