Nakama Japanese Steakhouse Sushi

Sushi was mediocre. I thought it was much better. I like Saga more. It was also very Smokey in there open with the door.

I love this place. From the great bar and friendly bartenders to the personable hostess, to the fabulous sushi kits, to the hibachi show. The biggest scallops I had in a LONG time, and the fried rice I could eat every day. I wasn't in a while and remember that alone was a guilty pleasure. I've taken 2 visitors over the last two months. Nakama is back on my favorites list!

Our waitress has forgotten our orders twice, forgotten our drinks order once and spilled my hot soup over the table, my phone and me. Their nails were disgustingly long and could not be a waitress with their nails. She was terrible therefore to make our Jubilee dinner I enjoyable. If you want a gift certificate, we can come back because the food was excellent and excellent cooking! I've been looking forward to coming to this place for months and the service was terrible. Thank you.

Wasn’t the best service. Took an hour to get an opportunity to even be seated. We showed up on time for reservation.we assumed we were lost in the crowd. Based off the hostess’ facial reaction when we made eye contact it was clear she made a mistake. We ended up getting bar seating after all the issues. We wanted hibachi, however, we had a 2 year old and the wait was tough on her. Food was okay. My steak was well dead and not medium rare but was too hungry to complain, so I drowned it in sauce. The 10.00 up-charge for a shared plate with a two year old seems a little crappy. She ate rice and a few pieces of chicken. I get if you’re a couple sharing a plate together, but come on. Cocktails were the best part. Clean and balanced.

Food was good, they were clearly understaffed, but those that were there were husseling! We were seated half hour after reservation… couldn’t get a drink at the bar to save our lives, bartenders were ignoring us…. Said we had a seafood allergy and they served her shrimp…. Probably won’t be back. Had birthday celebration on reservation, but didn’t do anything about it. Disappointed.
