Bidra med feedback**Pros:** The location is lovely, and it’s just a short walk to the Carolina Hotel. **Cons:** The room was quite cold, which caused me to catch a head cold. Unfortunately, the temperature adjustment was limited to only 1-2 degrees. There was no vanity available for applying makeup, and the bed was rather springy. The building is an old home without an elevator, so be prepared to carry your bags up the stairs. There was no bellboy available at the front, possibly because they were busy with the restaurant. The restaurant on the first floor stays active until late, so the noise might keep you awake until it closes. For a bed and breakfast with an on-site restaurant, I found the breakfast options lacking. There was no hot meal—just muffins and a Keurig machine, which was disappointing. The muffins were enjoyable, but I found the use of a Keurig to be unacceptable. They did have some self-service options like fruit, yogurt, and juice in a small fridge. Overall, it was an average experience.
The Inn is a charming historic establishment located in the heart of the picturesque Pinehurst Village. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, our two-night stay wasn’t long enough to fully explore all that this area has to offer!
We have consistently had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is peaceful, with delicious food, exceptional service, and a lovely atmosphere.
A friend and I dined here one Wednesday evening in late May. The inn is beautiful and we had heard great things about the food. Having read about the pasta being made fresh on-site, I ordered the ravioli. My friend ordered fish. We each had a glass of wine and shared a roasted beet salad. The bread was delicious and I especially enjoyed the salad. We were shocked, however, by the entrees. Two large, 4-5 raviolis, priced at $36. One very small portion of fish, also priced at $36. Total cost was approximately $135.
Our first experience with staying at this Inn and eating at the Vilaggio Restaurant both evenings we were there was phenomenal. You can tell the management and owners are attentive to detail as their staff was there in greeting us and opening the door when we checked into our room. Of course this is a self service check in but since we were arriving later in the day, they made sure we were welcomed as they were also just beginning their dinner service. After checking in and settling in our room we went to dine in the Villagio that features northern Italian inspired dishes. The waitress quickly seated us and gave us the featured specials of the day. We had the Rosette al Forno antipasti, which we would recommend highly to start. The roasted beet salad was split between my wife and myself and was certainly one that we truly enjoyed... a great choice even if you're are not a fan of beets. The beets along with the pecans are sweet enough to balance out the vinaigrette and the Gorgonzola cheese. I chose the Frutti de Mare and was not disappointed. It was seasoned just right to enhance the flavors of the seafood clams, mussels, calamari and shrimp and the linguini was cooked al dente. My wife had the braised short rib with risotto and it too was delicious. For the finishing touch we had the Panna Cotta and the Mousse al Cioccolato... both nicely done and not too sweet. All in all a perfect evening after a long trip! The staff will take care of you. We even noticed an elderly couple who appeared to have been celebrating an anniversary and the wait staff helped and assisted them with the flowers that were delivered to the restaurant ahead of time and brought the arrangement to their car. It's the small things that count!
