Bidra med feedbackWe traveled recently to picton to celebrate 30 years ago and were happy enough to secure a reservation at flowers. I have listened to my choices with the server and the gentleman the next table and recommended the rabbit. one of the best. Restaurant menus I had eve. the personal was great and the service fantastic. it is from the city, but a small price to pay for the experience.
Our friend has made the reservations in advance, but could only receive a reservation of 8:30 o'clock. we had big dings about the restaurant and our host in our b b very recommended this restaurant and we said that it was the best among the other...2 restaurants for which we had stayed. we arrived 15 minutes early and waited in front of the door, but no one was there to welcome us. we entered the restaurant and were ignored, but we finally got someone attention and sat in a next room and gave some menus. we waited and waited, but no one came to our table to even offer us some water. a server spoke randomly with the couple next to us and then sat down with them and spent a quite long time helping them with their next bike route. Odd-Ding to do if 4 people wait the next table to serve. other employees coughed in and out of the room, but ignored us. At 20:50 clock my friend suggested that we give the servers 9 clock to serve us, otherwise we should go. the server left the bill with the people next to us and left the room. At 21 o'clock we stood up and began to leave the restaurant. the server that had served the couple next to us came to me and apologized and offered to give us a glass prosecco when we stayed, but the other 3 people in my party were already in front of the door. I doubt that they had eaten us at 10 o'clock; too late on empty. I am sure the chef is excellent and eating is amazing, but he has no quality support staff to make it a top notch eating experience. the evening was a total catastrophe for us, as most places were closed after our departure. during our time in prince edward county we have dinted in east and main as well as in flame and smith. our server dani at east and main was excellent and gave us an excellent service and was generously tilted. the owner gastgeber at flame and smith asked us to wait shortly at the arrival and an additional table for us that on the other side of the terrace. that was a very nice gesture and she even apologized for waiting for that. our server, al, was also very attentive and we also tipped them generously. both restaurants were short staff, but went well away to enjoy themselves. I hope this review helps others decide in which restaurant to dine.
Good atmosphere, great services, eating could be better. I took the cattle, it was too sharp for my taste. I would maybe try something else again
I myself and a group of 5 other women in flowers last Friday during our girl waking away in pec dimmed and we had such a great experience. Actually, it can't say enough about eating and the ambiente. I booked 2 weeks in advance. I called an evening and left a message and received a call back the next day. they were already booked for the whole week before I called, so make sure to make good in advance for reservations. when we arrived for our 8 o'clock reservation, we were quickly brought to our table on the back terrace that I had asked to sit outside. the rear garden area was beautiful with all plants, lighting and a bright luminous moon. such a beautiful atmosphere! I was a little nervous about the service after reading some not so great reviews, but our server was excellent. he was attentive, friendly, and offered great recommendations and weeping options. great service all around. that brings us to eat what I can really say is wow! the kicherbsenfries were a fun, unique and tasty appetizer to share. I had the rabbit over gnocchi, on recommendation of our server, and it was so tasteful and rich. definitely not disappointed. others had the fish and chicken dishes, which also looked amazing. some of us shared two bottles of the long dog pinot noir that we really enjoyed. it was nice to have a wein that could not be bought at the lcbo. I would definitely recommend flowers for a special culinary experience. all on my party agreed that it was a wonderful and delicious evening!
I do not live in Picton, ON. We made reservations to Blumen. Trying to find the restaurant was a total disaster. The signage was hidden from the highway due to placement overgrown shrubbery. We drove over 10 miles out then crawled back looking...for the restaurant on a highway. When we arrived, we told our concern to 2 waitresses they both ignored our experience.
