Pizzeria La Conchiglia

Very disappointing. The sign over the door announced that they had won some international award, and the reviews were good so I had high hopes (and an empty stomach). But when I went in and looked in the display cabinet, there was a limited number of options, none of which looked even slightly appetising. I couldn't bring myself to try and attract the attention of the uninterested staff. Atmosphere was totally Meh as well, they certainly weren't over-burdened with customers! I ended up walking 500m to a way better place by the Ponte della Vittoria, where I found an amazing range of super-attractive options with friendly (although rather busy) staff. A nice cafe in the heart of Verona for a quick bite. The pizza is ready, there are many types, the portion (piece of pizza) is quite large. There is pizza on thin dough, and there is also on thick. I was surprised that the thick layer of dough turned out to be lush, light and very tasty. Prices from 5 euros. I liked the Italian beer. And, of course, the location is next to the Arena.
