Smashburger - Phoenix

We went on Easter Sunday it was super busy but warned of a longer than normal wait by the cashier, which was nice. The burgers and fries were delicious.

Their Bacon Avocado Chicken Club sandwich is probably the best I've ever had! I mostly order to go, but the dining experience is casual. Cool alternative/indie music plays while you eat.

The restaurant was very clean. Chris was great! Not only was he working the register to take orders, but he was the food runner when orders were ready, maker of milk shakes, and more! And for a bit there was quite a line of customers and he had no help!Our fries sat out for about 10 minutes under the heat lamp while waiting for our hamburgers to get cooked, so by the time the rest of the food was finished the fries were cold.

Went in only 3 customers at tables. Got to register. Jolly heavy set man white beard and hair was at the prep area looking over orders chatting with cooks. Guy look at me 5 times before he even said something to me standing at register, which I was standing there for about 4 minutes. He stated he be right with me. 3 minutes later got my order taken. That was 6:44pm I believe. 7:12 still haven't gotten my order to dine in. Now during this time a customer came in and he got his order taken care of within a minute. The jolly guy stood and chatted with him for about 7 to 9 minutes and Im looking at where cooks places orders for him to get to customers. My order sat up there for the whole time while jolly man chatted away. So half hour I waited for a burger and fries. 1 or 2 other customers came in and had their order in and out within 6 minutes. So in thinking a regular smashburger and fries take over a half hour.. never will I visit this place again. I suggest jolly man get retrained on customer service skills.Also want to add yes food was good but the preparation of it was like a kid did it. Burger pretty much fell apart. But sometimes that is expected
