Fd's Grill House - Pflugerville

FD's serves good food and often gets busy, so it's wise to call ahead. The restaurant has plenty of space for groups of friends. The staff is attentive and quick to serve. Just a note: the drinks are quite strong, and they only have one dessert option available.

I really love eating here for their grilled salmon. The prices are quite fair, which makes it a nice treat for me. When we went, we were able to get a table right away, although I have noticed that there can be a wait during busier times. The decor is somewhat unremarkable, but I wouldn't want it changed if it meant higher prices.

We dined at the restaurant on Friday night and were seated within five minutes of our arrival, thanks to our call ahead to notify them. Our server was wonderful and checked on us several times, keeping our drinks filled. I ordered the lemon chicken salad, which was delightful, while my husband had a steak that he enjoyed, although he would have liked corn as a side option. I chose the potatoes, and they were excellent. We also hoped for complimentary bread, but overall, the food was delicious and the service was top-notch.

We came across this restaurant after Cheddar’s told us we had to wait 40 minutes, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. On a Saturday evening, the tables were busy, but the service was efficient, and our food arrived quickly. The prices are reasonable, and the food is absolutely delicious.

The dining experience was fantastic. Our server, Christopher, was polite, personable, and highly professional. He recommended the crab and shrimp dimmer for the appetizer, and it did not disappoint. The ribs, fried shrimp, and garlic potatoes were absolutely amazing. The only reason I didn't give a full five stars is that my black fish was a bit too salty. Additionally, we ordered two side dishes — one with an order to-go (the ribs/shrimp), and we requested a baked potato with both, but both orders came with potatoes. I only realized the to-go order was missing the potato when we opened the bag at home. Aside from that, the overall experience was excellent, and I would definitely recommend this place. The atmosphere was great as well!
