Lombardi's Bbq Deli - Petaluma

My wife really loves this place. Eats food from here at last twice a month. Myself, I find the food to be mediocre. The pulled pork just didn't do it for me. Not enough of something or too much of something else. I can't really put my finger on it, but it just wasn't up to par with me. The owner needs to try my pulled pork lol. Other than that, its a great place and they have many other options. I just need to find one that I enjoy.

Come here for the barbecue, not for the sandwiches. My daughter and I have swung in here yesterday on the way home from a basketball tournament. Wanted to share with her an authentic delicatessen sandwich. Making a great sandwich starts with the bread, they miss the boat here. We ordered sourdough roll and we got some kind of soft, store bought generic bread. Bit of a letdown.Second key to a great sandwiches getting the order right. I had my doubts when the person who took our order over on the phone didn't read back our order. My sandwich got cheddar cheese instead of smoked cheddar and my daughter got turkey only instead of half turkey, half salami.Third key is equal distribution of veggies and meat. My sandwich had most meat on one end leaving a bread sandwich on the other side.Lombardi's has great BBQ and used to have great sandwiches. If you're looking for a good sandwich try Michaels sourdough instead. Pass unless you get the BBQ.

Tasty food, fairly priced. Order inside, pay, wait to pickup and go outside for mostly covered seating. No indoor dining. Lots of free parking.

We ate here for lunch. Got a couple sandwiches ? ? and some Sicilian pasta salad. I called in the order and luckily the parking wasn't bad at all but on busy days it is packed. My sandwich was turkey and provolone on wheat with all the fixings and sprouts. It's was delicious ? and I had asked for lite on the meat. It was perfect and we will go again. It's a little on the high end with the prices but you will be happy with the food.
