I would have booked with meat and wine because eating would have been better for the same price and at least give them 2.5 hours, do not treat their stomachs like macdonalds drive through patrons. I could not enjoy the original of the time limit that was given, and also the salmon melt and so fishy.
Our daughter and her friend introduced us to the Spanish. we had booked a table for 4 for 7 o'clock. our table was ready and the bar was already very busy with a beautiful atmosphere. we noticed that a part of our long table was also reserved for 2 people, so if they eat as a couple, they can end up on a table with strangers. we had no idea of the high tables, but would not have liked to sit near the window where the edge to rest seemed much higher than the seats. as tapas, the portions are not big and while tasty some are a little expensive, e.g. $25 for 4 quater tomatenbrot with chorizo. the pork bell and calamari were unusual dishes and we enjoyed every dish....read more
I'm here twice and once ate. the beer selection is interesting and cheap, and $5 schooner too happy hour are also great. I ate the croquettes and the garlic drink. While the croquettes were delicious and edible, I must say that the garlic puwns were the best I had in years. I would even go so far that they were up there with the witch Cauldron, who is in perth for garlic puwns. I'm back in the morning.
Yummy eating, but felt it was expensive for the size of serviettes. we had given a credit as a gift, but when we paid ourselves the paella was $23.50 per person for a dinner teller big teller to share. That's $47 for a teller. it was delicious, but in no way enough for 2. we also had 2 portions of sardine bruschetta to begin, which was amazing, but again tasted, at $7 for 1 piece brot was a little steep. the churros was teensy, one bite each of my partner is Spanish and was not overly impressed by those. the place was full (a wet night) so that people must be very happy to pay much for a small amount of paella, but I would not go back to these trips.
A decent spot for tapas to start off a CBD pub crawl! It seems like the menu changes at least semi-regularly, which keeps things exciting between visits. Most recently, we had the hot chorizo on Catalan tomato bread, the jamón Iberico parcels stuffed with sautéed mushrooms, and the chilli gambas. All of them were delicious and washed down nicely with a glass of sangria blanco! Service was friendly, atmosphere was good, the only minor negative thing is that it can get very noisy This is a consistent favourite for us, and I would heartily recommend it.
