Cracker Barrel - Perry

The staff was friendly. The waitress was on the spot and always looked. No waiting time. Food came fast and they were pretty busy at 10 a.m. on Friday. Had a mimosa and the Grandmas Sampler Pancake breakfast and it was very consistent with other locations.

Order the grilled cats, two dinners. had to send it back because it didn't seem really grilled. The employees and the management were very hesitant and re-did the order to my satisfaction. Fast recovery and excellent customer service. Will definitely return.

Kanyla was an excellent server today. Our order was hot fresh and our drinks were refilled. She said very kind. Ethel checked us and told me the sale on the candies. She was so nice to my daughters and that means so much to me. The bathrooms were clean and the retail was packed.

Cracker Barrel has been my favorite for at least 30 years. The food was always consistent and well prepared. The worst service I ever got from a Cracker Barrel server was pretty doggone good considering some other places I was. I had the meat loaf and potatoes, mashed, with Turnip Greens on the side and biscuit. The meat was good. The potatoes were good, but the severity was cold. I prefer to be hot. It was all right. I didn't send anything back. My plate was clean when we were gone, so even though the food wasn't at home... it must have been pretty good. The best part of the meal was the cookies. I wish they'd warm the butter a little. It is hard to spread the small stones of butter on a lukewarm cookie. Maybe there's a trick I don't know about.
