Bidra med feedbackRestaurant had a mixture of western and limited varieties of nyonya food. Cosy restaurant in open concept kitchen. Staffs and lady boss were very accommodating. Nasi uslam, Portuguese curry chicken, petai, are my favourite here. Do ask for speciality dishes as some are not on the menu.
Lovely and comfortable ambience. Nyonya, western and Asian food. We ordered their Asam Prawn, Black Sauce Pork, Fried Chives Flower, Sambal Emperor Vegetables, Belachan Chicken, Curry Fish Head, Ju Hu Char (Fried Chinese Turnip with Dried Cuttlefish) and Chicken Chop. Food was NOT as delicious as I have remembered previously before MCO... maybe the cook or chef have been replaced.
Three of us had lunch here today and found the service friendly and efficient and the food truly first class. We are three from a Penang nonya family and can speak with some confidence. The fish Gulai Tumis was possibly the standout complimented with another two vegetable, one Nasi Ulam and one Assam prawns. We especially enjoyed the airy and spacious ambience of this restaurant which was an oldish bungalow with a largish garden and parking area at the front. The only downside we thought were the dirty dishes, glasses, etc of the adjoining al fresco business which remained uncleared after what appears to have been a big night of drinking and carousing. Glad we overlooked this and decided to stay. Others would probably have done a U turn. This is a potential 4 star restaurant except for this blight which is too much to overlook.
I love this place personal and owners are very helpful. eating is always good and a mix of nonya, locally and western. also has beautiful seating in the open. the prices are reasonable and it is relaxed and to be a happier place.
Avoided the downtown traffic jam. Had the best nyonya food in the comfort of a relaxing atmosphere
