The food at this restaurant is generally good, but my last four visits have been disappointing. Despite being very specific about the sauces I want and being willing to pay extra for them, I have not received any on any of these occasions. As someone with over 8 years of experience in the food industry, I know that fast food preparation is not difficult. It is frustrating to have my order repeated back to me each time, only to have it consistently incorrect. It may seem trivial, but if I cannot get what I want, what is the point of ordering? This consistent mistake is risking losing me as a customer.
The service at this restaurant was disappointing. When I went to the drive-thru to order for my kids, I encountered a server who did not listen well and did not get my full order. I had to park and wait longer to make my complete order after complaining about the drive-thru service. The food I received was cold and the cheese on the fries appeared to have been sitting out for a while. We will not be returning to this location, as the service is better at the 83rd and Deer Valley location.
My experience at Sonic was absolutely the worst I've ever had. I just wanted a double cheeseburger, chocolate shake, and cheese fries. It was 108 degrees outside and gas was over $5.30 a gallon. After waiting for 30 minutes with no order in sight, they told me to pull up. When they finally brought out a bag, it contained a small sundae and milkshake. With my gas running low and experiencing symptoms of heat stroke, I left without getting what I ordered. This place is poorly managed, understaffed, and completely dysfunctional. Sonic should be closed down. Good riddance.
