Proctor Hospital Snacks N Soda - Peoria

This was such a terrible experience. When we arrived, the officer on duty was not able to help my partner out the car, then we get checked in and the desk lady is laughing when my partner, who is so sick she can 't even walk, struggles to put her arm up... we get back to the room and I try using the scale to weight myself, and I was asked to leave afterwards...Guess the nurse had a problem with me using the scale so she called security.... so while I 'm outside, I call my partner who has just been taken back to the room just to see how they were treating her. she answers crying saying they mean and rude . My partner tells me when the nurse tried to take my vitals she was told to sit up, your 25, we 're not going to play these childish games ! ... my partner then says she 's going to leave, so she reaches for the wheel chair and THEY MOVE IT FROM HER REACH!! At the same time I 'm trying to come back in and help her (mind you I 'm on the phone with my partner the whole time) and she crawling out the door, with the security guy watching, and 2 nurses just sitting there watching ! I was so appalled! I feel so disrespected with the service here at proctor! Everyone was in the worst mood, and I was expecting much better behavior considering I 've been here before. Never will be back again. Terrible experience. A lot of details I 've left out out of respect that no one wants to read a book, but this experience was absolutely flabbergasting, infuriating and very upsetting! And on my way out I still had nurses arguing and calling ME, AND MY PARTNER out of OUR NAMES !! Ugly behavior from Proctor 's team.

This little snack shop is located just off the main lobby of the hospital. It is run by the pink ladies who volunteer at the hospital. They are known for having the original recipe to the famous Hunt 's Restaurant ice cream sodas. Hunt 's is long gone but their amazing ice cream sodas live on here. Chocolate, strawberry or my favorite, vanilla! Give them all a try!Tips: Cash only but there is an ATM down the hall. They are only open until 3 pm during the week. Be patient! The sodas require a lot of heavy stirring to make them perfectly. : .

Reasonable lunch with great yogurt!!
