Bidra med feedbackThe staff was polite, place was nice so I was excited to get curry goat as I haven't had it in months. Drove an hour home and opened container to see what looks like vertebrae with no meat on them. Went through whole container and got one small bite of meat. Disappointed.
I ordered the Jerk Chicken with red beans and rice, mac and cheese, and candied yams. The food was excellent. Also, the vibe at Jerk Hut was great. People who knew eachother were talking and laughing. Even the customers talked to other customers. I liked the community vibe.
I ordered the jerk salmon alfredo. I wasn't pleased with the alfredo sauce. I had to season the sauce when I got home. It was bland and more liquid like; it looked like milk. Alfredo sauce should be thicker than served here. The jerk seasoning was barely there on the salmon. My advice don't be afraid to season the food. Me in my kitchen I don't measure I just shake and stop when the ancestors say that's enough? I don't use salt with iodine. I use Himalayan pink salt and lots of herbs. A suggestion use both Romano and parmesean cheese to make the alfredo allow it to thicken on low heat.I also got a side of yams. They looked like canned yams. The yams were lightly seasoned as well. Not real sweet. Yams can be sweetened without going overboard with the sugar. Raw cane sugar is a great sweetener without the added chemicals that white sugar has. I believe if you all just adjusted the seasonings in your food then your star rating can improve and your foot traffic may improve inside the restaurant.
Almost listened to the reviews happy I didn’t. Everybody deserves a chance you might just miss out. Jerk chicken taco with fries drizzled in cheese sauce c’mon man..
I have eaten Jerk Hut several times. I'm still looking for the great taste I had the very first time I ordered it. So delicious. However every time since things have not been the same. The greens and bed of rice are so different for the bad. The rice taste like soap. Too much of something. The greens tast like can greens. I've tried to stick with yall, but I must move on. Wish yall the best, as I do my best to support local owned businesses!
