Bidra med feedbackThis is one of pensacola's best country style cooking I had. I ordered the chickens and dumplings along with coleslaw and green beans. all were excellent fast service. the location is beautiful and big!
The hostess was great. she was clean, vacuum cleaner and sitting people. several other employees just seemed to help and on their phones in the dining room nothing!!! there were 3 employees who were standing and watching what went on but to help nothing or to correct the situation? waitress that we had, has great personality but forget salat dressing and evening rolling, and had to ask for drinking after filling. only ground for 4-star food was very good.
It is 7 clock on Friday 6/10/2022. I was born and raised in nashville. love cats on the bone. fried okra turnip greens. I left to the south in 1989. wing to west. I'm back now. I'm in a hotel. I turned around to find all the cats on the bone. I've been working at pofolks in tn over 30 years ago. When I looked over the menu, I saw chicken livers. I also did not have them in many yrs. to my disappointment were the levern far over boiled. very hard. a piece of fish was raw. the fish tasted old, as a freezer burned. my fried okra was not at cooking bitten so that it glued everything and not completely boiled. no vinegar for the green. he said they had only the vinegar with a pfeffer in it. the lush puppies were the only thing I enjoyed. they had gone out of the south for over 30 years and was so disappointed?
The first time here, in the hope of southern food with southern hospitality instead of it was more of one that we did not take their kind and that is my city declining depending on the regular that I took from the host who took his sweet time, she was not busy at all, maybe 6 tables, all served. I sat there for 5 minutes and watched the couple that was before me to get the royal treatment. funny was a country song that sings five, more, minor, and I thought I wasn't. I'll sit here for five more minutes because if I did, they'd have to give me a w2. I went with my money and without regret. $3.00 for a sweet tee? I can buy a gallon for it....not waste their time as I did. As regards the southern hospitality, this is a thing of pastness.
The service was friendly but quite slow.We ordered the 2pc lunch chicken special with grits and chicken strips with coleslaw. The slaw and hush puppies were great. The chicken was under seasoned but well cooked. As an appetizer we ordered deep fried pickles. I'm not sure what kind of ranch dipping sauce they make but its amazing. We also ordered a strawberry shortcake. It was full of flavor and delicious. We aren't used to a dense shortcake so it was nice to try something new.
