Bidra med feedbackCelebrated my birthday at Drift and was blown away with the beautiful setting, the knowledgeable staff and the amazing, over-the-top food. It was definitely a cut above experience that left us all completely satisfied! Last night's dinner at Drift was a rollercoaster of emotions. The restaurant effortlessly blends style and ambiance, from its dim blue lighting to its glass driftwood accents, hefty menus, and oversized ice cube cocktails. The appetizers were a delight, especially the colossal shrimp that could have been grown at Epcot Center. The peach mozzarella salad, with perfectly toasted baguettes, was equally delightful. My wife savored a flawlessly cooked medium ribeye, juicy and indulgent. I, on the other hand, took a chance on the swordfish, only to find it overcooked and burdened by a stubborn anchovy butter crust. I'd advise against it. Our waitress, whose name escapes me, was a true gem, brimming with knowledge about the food and local recommendations. If it weren't for that disappointing swordfish, I'd easily give this place another star... I had the steak for breakfast and it was still good so I added another star. We sat outside and had Gerard as our waiter. Nice view, delicious food. Peruvian cebiche needed a little more salt, but the swordfish, grouper and tortellini will have us going back for more. Get the swordfish! Gerard was attentive even though he was covering the bar. Drinks were also good. Parking was close and free. This place was incredible! The food, the service and the atmosphere were all perfect. I ordered the 18 oz. ribeye and my wife ordered the filet and we loved it. For dessert, she got the chocolate tulip and I ordered the millionaire’s coffee. Neither of us were disappointed. It is a little pricey, so I would recommend it for a special occasion, but everything here is great. Becky was our server and she was amazing. She was very attentive, extremely friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. I would highly recommend her. All in all, The Drift is a great restaurant that I plan to visit again the next time I’m in Pensacola. AMAZING!!! I'd say this is THE best restaurant on Pensacola Beach. So stylish inside and out. Beautiful view. Great staff. Our waitress (Lauren if I recall correctly) was very nice, genuine, and professional. The food and dessert were delicious. I'll be back every time I go to PB.
