Bidra med feedbackIf you love karaoke you'll love supercube! It's great that you can be in a private group, drink copious amounts of booze and don't feel like you're making a fool of yourself in public! It's slightly pricey but good if there's a ton of you as the cost is split. The only thing that's slightly irritating is the paper song books. You'd think they'd have an electronic search facility or something. However, they don't have lots of competition in the area and its ideally situated on George st so it's all cool. I recommend for birthdays a good post meal, pre club giggle.
The night itself was amazing but DONT EAT THE FOOD. We ordered a pizza and all of us who ate it are super sick today, nauseous and vomiting. Get drunk and eat BEFORE you go!
Baby one more time.....or maybe not! From the outside the place looks really small. You walk down the steps and are greeted by the receptionist for that night. They inform you of how the place works and guide you to your booked room. I heard that the rooms are not cheap and the one we used was around £140, which potentially should hold more than 14 people. In all fairness, I don't think that there was space for so many people. We were able to sit down on one long couch with a massive screen closely infront of us from which we could read the song lyrics. Maybe a bit too close?!? There was a computer on the left of the screen where you could choose your music from by song title, catalogue number, artist (male/female/groups . You also got three massive heavy catalogues, with lots of choice. The evening was a blast. We had two amazing singers in our group, who sung a slow song together and sounded amazing. Alex also surprised us with her own fab performance of Heathcliff , and Susan with her cowboy song (cant remember the title so : For us normal people we mastered our talents in our own way and chose well known lyrics from Madonna, B Tyler, Alice Cooper, Queen...... How you got supplies? You rung a bell and the waitress came, took your order, and returned quickly to the booth with food and drinks. All in all its a fab night out and recommendable. Shame it's not cheap!
We've been to the Supercube quite a lot of times in the past 3years or so, and it simply turned into our favorite past pub activity on weekends and even weekdays. Went back last Saturday on the occasion of a birthday with a large crowd, and even though we just walked in without prior reservation everything got set up quickly and we had a fantastic night yet again. As for the price range for the rooms, I found that most if not all of the times we went there we were able to get a very fair and decent deal (we're almost always 8 12 people). Prices for drinks are appropriate I'd say.
Had a fantastic evening here that was too fast. once they are used for the different filewriters, it is a brise to use and enjoy the karaoke. even if the rooms look simple, they are all they really need, and the staff was really helpful. highly recommended.
