Grandview Palace Chinese Cuisine

This is one of the hidden gems in Pasadena. Love this place a lot. We came here often, but sadly we moved out of the area. This is classic American style Chinese food done right. The service is so great. We became fast friends with the workers there. You get seated fast and your food comes in fresh. Our all time favorite is the orange chicken with real pieces of orange, bbq fried rice, wor wonton soup, and the crispy rice chicken soup. When it’s too crowded at other big restaurants with a wait time of 2 hours you can always count on this place to seat you right away. We even booked this place for my son’s 2nd birthday. They really made his birthday special. Thank you so much. When we come back to Pasadena we will definitely stop by and eat. Definitely don’t sleep on this place and order the Grandview special chicken for a peppery spicy kick that is just right.

The portion sizes are generous at this restaurant. I ordered the "Combination Lo Mein" with chicken, shrimp, and beef, and added broccoli. It was absolutely delicious! I will definitely be returning in the future.

This place is amazing! The staff are friendly and they serve delicious, customizable dishes at an affordable price. I highly recommend supporting this restaurant in Old Town, as they stand out above their competitors. They are truly legendary!

First off the wait staff was excellent, they were lovely and attentive. Can’t say the same for your hostesses. We were there to celebrate my birthday and we had reservations and some of our party was late so we lost our rooftop table. The restaurant wasn’t busy and nobody was using the table. One of our party complained to the manager(who was also very nice) who immediately moved us back to our rooftop table. Of course they have 2 hour table limit and while I understand that, we were a party of 8 who ordered dinner and drinks and after all the trouble they could have let us stay a little bit longer but they didn’t they wanted us out of there. Needless to say we won’t be back because obviously they don’t want our business. We went down the block to Mercado restaurant who welcomed us with no problem!

Yummy Americanized Chinese food place. Very affordable, each menu item has a large serving size to share with the table. Excellent service.
