Silver Sycamore - Pasadena

The Silver Sycamore is located in an old house with tables in different rooms and decor is a step back in time. I had her honey Senf chicken salad and was underwhelmed! It was stuffed in a flat bowl, it was basically spring mix of green, teaspoon bacon, and a small part of a grilled chicken breast. It was just not worth the price. The chocolate cake I had for dessert was amazing and for this reason I will give them another chance.

The service is absolutely terrible and they do nothing to worry about their cartridges. When did we make reservations for mother?s day, it was not clear to us that there was a special menu and different prices during the event. Not even a word was discussed during the phone call. Come to find mother? Day morning, when a family member just randomly came across the Facebook post, that very little attention that this was the case. We then decided that we did not participate in this event and called to cancel. It took FOREVER to get through on the phone. Several people had to make several phone calls. RIDICULOUS. When they finally answered the phone, they moved the whole thing on us and said that we understood the menu clearly and would be obliged to pay the full price, although we appeared for our reservation. WHY CAN YOUR KINGDOM? Absolutely terrible customer service and lack of basic human condition.

STAY FAR AWAY! First, the seller was NOT transparent about what was included in the wedding packages, and showed us a new price sheet AFTER we gave a non-refundable deposit. Secondly, the seller has NOT shown us the contract before picking up our deposit. Thirdly, the seller has provided TERRIBLE customer service and conflict resolution. Only one head up: Many things are NOT included, but they will tell you they can do them like a car salesman. I will upload a picture of the price list as it has accidentally forgotten to show this more than just me (shut down their other 1 star reviews). We gave the deposit before we saw the contract. We were naive and new to this wedding process. But that's her JOB. She's doing this for a LIVING. She should 've email the contract to us and said you should check this first. Bad business practice. We spent almost 30 minutes on my complaints about the price list. She even told us that she usually provides the extra price list to people, but she did not give us. * Finally* at the end of our convot, it offers concessions, but I couldn't trust anything at this point. And I was right. Because she offered during our convot to return part of our security deposit if she was able to book another one... But when we asked to get this in writing, she told us rudely that she would COUNTRIES HER MIND and not give anything back! Funny! Franken I would not recommend this place to ANYONE, especially not to brides. What I've been dealing with, my engagement really ruined and pissed off, which should be a time about love family. We took GLADLY a $3,500 hit to our bank account to end everything business here. I can only recommend that others do the same. I can only say that GOOD RIDDANCE and GOOD LUCK have such a business.

CONS: Noisy Neighbors over PROS road: The place looks fantastic, it is an oasis in the city, and the staff is super beautiful. I'll give him a five-star anyway, and you'll get him when you open the cabin door. It's just beautiful.

I wasn't there for a wedding or reception or to eat in the cafe, which I was disappointed it was not open. I was there for the Holiday Lights Festival. It was enjoyable enough and manageable on foot, but not all handicap friendly. Hopefully they will continue to find ways to make it more easily inclusive for those elderly with mobility issues and all those who have physical challenges.
