Bidra med feedbackMy reviews are based on my personal experience of visiting this Restaraunt and can be categorised as per below :<br/ <br/ Location : 5 min walk from Westfield/Parramatta Station<br/ Cuisine : Indian<br/ Taste : Excellent food <br/ Staff : Average Staff<br/ Ambience : Normal<br/ Serving per plate : Good quantity<br/ Cost for two :Approx 40 for two<br/ What I tried : Vegetable Biryani(Best in Sydney), Paneer Tikka(Was fresh and good in taste), Malai Kofta(Average and mild) , Navratan Korma(below Average), Paneer bhurji(Good), Breads(All good), Mango kulfi and pista kulfi(Very good)<br/ In short : Budget restaraunt with good taste. Good for small get together.
I walked in this place around lunch time to try there food. Apparently it's one of those placing with dull lighting and soft music. As soon as I walked in someone acknowledged my entry with a smile and helped me through to a comfortable seat.<br/ <br/ I ordered there lunch Non veg thali which I would say was nice. It came with butter chicken, lamb curry, dal and raita with rice and 1 naan. It costed me $11.90 and I think most of it was good. They took my feedback in the end if the food was good, which tells me that they care. <br/ <br/ It seemed to me like that decent place type which has ok ambience, food is above average, staff is good and pricing is alrite.
I've eaten here about 6 times now and have really enjoyed it. The naan is perfect fluffy and crispy. The peshwari naan is the best I've had anywhere in Sydney. Good curries too, I'm trying different ones each time and haven't found anything to disappoint yet. The value is reasonable, usually around $20 per person, and they always use tender meat not horrible cuts. <br/ <br/ I'm surprised others complained about service, I always found the staff pleasant and reasonably attentive.
Good restaurant with quality food. We have tried veg and non-veg food which waa yummy. I like to taste thali as I heared its good deal there.
India on a plate! That pretty much sums up what a thali is. <br/ <br/ If you've never had a thali before, it is an Indian meal of saffron rice and naan with a little bit of various vegetable and meat curries, raita and salad. Each bite gives you different taste and texture. You literally have all the flavours of Indian cuisine on one single plate! If you haven't had Indian food before, this is the perfect meal for introduction. And oh, prepare to use your fingers if you want to go traditional. Hands are not just for high fiving but also for tearing down the naan and dipping it in the curries. <br/ <br/ If you're keen in trying this out, Neelam in Parramatta offers both non-vegetarian and vegetarian thalis as a lunch special for only $12. That's a bargain! Non-vegetarian thali comes with two meat curries and one vegetable curry. While the vegetarian thali comes with the three vegetable curries. <br/ <br/ On our visit, we ordered the non-vegetarian thali (of course! . The one we had came with butter chicken, lamb rogan and lentils curry. The chicken was flavourful and great with naan. I don't like lamb, but Neelam's lamb rogan was just so good I just can't stop myself from munching. It doesn't have the smell of lamb that turns me off. A spoonful of safron rice with lamb rogan is simply delightful. The lentils curry carry extra heat so best to chow down a couple of the salad to cool down your tongue after the lentils. <br/ <br/ This is a no brainer for me. We will definitely come back to Neelam to try out their other dishes.
