Bidra med feedbackA mixed bag... This was our second time to eat here, and the experience was similar to the first. Our server was nice enough, but it took FOREVER to get our drinks, and our server just didn't seem to be aware of our needs or how to manage orders at a table. It also took forever to get into our food order, and the order also took a while to come. After our entrees we wanted to order dessert and after dinner drinks, but it took so long until our server came to ask us that we only decided to close. But as for food: We had the caprese salad and it was phenomenal! Three different types of tomatoes, all fresh, and with bacon added to the normal ingredients, it was really fantastic. My wife had the salmon shell, I had the braided short ribs. She LOVED her, like me. The short ribs were so tender and juicy that one could crush the meat with a fork. Great taste, and on a bed of perfectly prepared Polnta. And then there was the Maque Choux (a southern shell of corn, paprika, onions, etc.). I was blown away from his taste and wanted a bigger support it was so good. So, I guess if you don't mind eating literally twice as long as it's really necessary, this seems like a place to get fantastic food. But if you wait longer than normal on every step of your culinary experience is not your thing, you can want to happen.
The food is the most delicious asparagus I've ever grilled! We loved the size and a great bar. Hidden GEM in Parker make sure reservations.
The Douglas is great for special occasions and celebrations. Your food is high quality and well prepared, but each time on average. The room is comfortable and the service is always good. We love having this place nearby!
Pretty rough setting and not the best value for food quality. Our server was fantastic.
We went on Christmas Eve. Our waitress Cindy took very good care of us. We had a booth by the kitchen door, which was distracting, otherwise it would have been perfect. Drinks were very good, food was delicious. Price was better than average. This was our first visit to the Douglas and we will go back.
