Bidra med feedbackThe place looks funny, a bit kitsch, but cosy. The food is ok (not extraordinary, but nice)... but 21€ for penne alla norma or gnocchi al gorgonzola is really exaggerated.
The meal was good, but the portion are really very very small. with starter main course and dessert we were still hungry :=(
This tiny Italian restaurant is nearby a hotel I stay at regularly so I've been a few times. My last visit convinced me its time to look elsewhere. Too bad, because it's a charming setting but I can't honestly say I remember any of the meals except the last one which was terrible. Maybe it was just the summer doldrums, but my last meal was a great disappointment: dry risotto, overly chilled, tastless tuna carpaccio, and a lemon tart straight out of the box. It didn't help that the waiter had terrible B.O., which even sitting outside didn't help. No longer recommended
We are going regularly to Il Piccolino. Food is really good, the owner Franco is an old typical italian from Milano. Good wine list. A few table outside. Good price/value proposition.
We visited Paris in September and have been talking about our dining experience at Il Piccolino ever since. Everything about this was amazing - the quaint dining room, the eccentrically decorations, the humorously translated menu, and not least, the food. Il Piccolino was recommended by the concierge at our hotel when we asked about something "different" for dinner and she called ahead and got us a table. We were happily greeted upon arrival and given the translated menu. Everything tasted fresh and amazing. I can't wait to return to Paris and visit again!
