Le Bistrot de Paris

It should be a tourist trap, like so many of these things in Paris, but not at all! Large hosts and an amusing nostalgic approach to the kitchen make this feeling like an immersive performance piece.

We have made the mistake not to pursue tradition and pay a high price. Food was excellent and atmosphere was very traditional. Unfortunately, the service was not when we asked Dessert directly from the ducks they looked down on us and made very unpleasant comments. Again, the food was fantastic, but don't try to change the rules.

This type of authentic French restaurant is vanishing in Paris. There are a few exceptions. This is one of them. Quality ingredients , expert gracious service, warm and cozy but sophisticated atmosphere. Lots of locals who Appear to be regulars and obviously love the restaurant. We do too. Have gone back four times.

What a wonderful find! Lovely setting, people, and food. Here for my moms birthday and they treated us like special guests. Hope to go back again.
