Feedback
Bidra med feedbackThanks for finally adding this Giligan's outlet to your list. I've tried several dishes here. It's the crunchy sisig that's still my favorite. I also love the fried chicken dishes. They are something new and different from the usual breaded fast food chickens. It makes me feel nostalgic too as this is how my mother always cooks native chicken back in the province. Edit (August 2017): The initial photos I've uploaded along with this review has been removed for some reason. Here's a new batch. I've also shared photos separately during each visit with some short comments (if I have any).
This restaurant has always been my mom's favorite. She describes it as an affordable and delicious spot. I really enjoy their sisig. The staff is very accommodating, and the location is convenient as well.
The flavor of their Kare-Kare Beef is delicious. It's a shame that it doesn't pair well with their shrimp paste. Their Garlic Rice is also tasty, and it doesn't feel like just a simple, rushed fried rice. I really like their Rice All You Can meals; excellent value at 99 pesos, especially since it comes with free iced tea. However, the Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet tasted a bit muddy. My mom says that sometimes it really is like that, especially since she often orders it when visiting my dad at Manila Memorial. On top of that, the service was quite slow, and I was really annoyed by the last couch we sat on. I was wearing shorts, and you could really feel the grime on it. Other couches were full since many people were dining (which was unfortunate because they all looked nice), and we didn't want to sit at a regular table.
We ordered the Garlic Chicken (not entirely sure about the name), Pork Sisig, and Giligans Fried Rice, and everything was amazing! I gave it a 4-star rating because I haven't tried their other dishes yet, but I will definitely be back!
