Lovely food and pleasant decor. Appreciate that there was no surcharge on queen's b'day weekend. Generous meals. Nice indoor and outdoor areas. Tanya
We have been coming for Saturday lunch for a few weeks and have found the food great and the service friendly and prompt. Would recommend.
If you ever come here only order something off the breakfast menu. Me and my partner have been here multiple times I have tried something off their lunch menu which was sadly disappointing. By far they have the most delicious, filling and affordable breakfasts as well as superb coffee. I usually have a chai latte and it tastes perfect they will always mAke it to your tastes. Hungry men will get well fed as they are not shy to fill up your plate very tasty and well presented !
I had heard Gana had 'some of the best coffee around ' so we decided to head there for breakfast. The first time I ordered the creamy mushrooms with haloumi, on brioche toast and was not disappointed. It was amazing! Husband enjoyed his works breakfast and our coffee was indeed delicious. The second time I ordered the corn fritters, because I figured I couldn 't go wrong after the creamy mushrooms. I was wrong. The fritters, although large and tasty looking, were bland and very crumbly. I wasn 't impressed at all. The coffee that day was a bit burnt as well, I think perhaps there was a new staff member on the coffee machine due to talk we heard with her and management. The last time we went to Gana, I went back to my creamy mushrooms and found they weren 't as delicious as the first time. The chef was a little heavy on the seasonings and they were quite strong in flavour. All in all, it 's a nice little cafe with very quick service and friendly enough staff. Consistency seems to be a bit of an issue here. It 'd be great if the kinks could be ironed out to make this a real destination as Papamoa is lacking in the cafe stakes.
