Le Clair de Saint Jean - Pamiers

I popped into this bistro / restaurant yesterday at around 14h30 - I wanted to make a lunch reservation for a group of 20-25 (surprise birthday!) during the second week of June. As I approached the bar area (from inside the Leclerc store), I was 'barked' at by a mature lady standing at the till - 'Sir, the bar is closed until 15h00!' she 'informed' me! No 'Bonjour', no I'm sorry, no please excuse us - just the loud and clear message 'we're closed'. I has not said one word. So - I turned around and walked out. There is actually a printed message on the side of the bar stating that there is no bar service between 12h00 and 15h00 - pretty useless for a lunchtime bistro! Appalling customer service. First impressions are everything and I certainly won'e be back - although I suspect they won't give a jot! :-) The reservation for the surprise birthday luch has been made elsewhere - more deserving of our cash!

This delicious Italian restaurant served the best tarte au Citron for dessert than I have EVER tasted. Would come back for sure!
