Luna Rossa - Palos Verdes Peninsula

It seems like the restaurant had a rough night when I visited. There was only one waiter or waitress for the entire place, with an extra person just to serve bread. It took a long time to place our order, and then it felt rushed. The food and drinks were quickly brought to our table, but we had to wait a long time to pay. I saw other people waiting to be seated at the front of the restaurant for a long time as well. My friends enjoyed their pasta dishes, but the pizza had a soggy crust despite being heavily blackened on top, and it seemed like it was made without care. The seafood dish was also a disappointment. The server seemed rushed and didn't check in on us. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, and they have been in business for many years with inconsistent service and food quality. Sometimes it's really good, but not this time.

We have very mixed feeling about this place. 1 asked for no ice water, sure thing, the water we got had a lot of ice;2 asked for a bottle of wine, got 2 glasses of more expensive wine;3 the appetizer and the main dish were brought at the same time;4 the food was barely warm;5 the bread was hot and delicious;6 the chicken Marsala and salad were great;7 the waiter just filled our wine glasses once, and never refilled them. For the lower price point place, I would not complain at all, for the fancy restaraunt they pretend to be... I would expect the better service.

Great Italian food, quick and friendly service n great ambiance

Came in and waited for probably 15 mins to just have a glass of wine before our movie. We stood over towards to the bar are and the waitress deliberately slipped us and seated 3 other families in front of us and then continued to ignore us. Horrible service..! I imagine it doesn't get any better once your seated so we left after giving her 6+ opportunities to greet us let alone seat us...

Review is actually 0 stars. My husband and I came here for a glass of wine before our movie and waited for someone to greet us and the family in front of us to be seated. We waited...and waited...and WAITED. The family rang the bell numerous times and nothing. So I finally went to the bar and after 10 minutes of waiting a lady finally walked behind the bar and I asked her if we could sit here for just a drink and she said uhhhh yes, maybe...actually hold on waited again and she never came back. We just left. This place sucks.
